Launch of new calls for proposals, with budget €277 million, to support investments in digital connectivity infrastructures The Commission has launched the second set of calls for proposals under the Connecting Europe Facility Digital programme. With a planned budget of €277 million, the aim is to support projects for secure, fast and high-capacity networks, backbone infrastructures, including quantum communication, cloud federation and submarine cables, strengthen the networks that connect rural, remote and overseas areas, as well as increasingly digitalise transport and energy networks. Irish Research Council to invest €24 million in ground-breaking, "curiosity-driven" research An investment of almost €24 million in ‘curiosity-driven’ frontier research was announced. European Innovation Council: New wave of deep tech start-ups set to receive Accelerator grants and equity investments The Commission selected 75 innovative start-ups after this year’s second EIC Accelerator cut-off in June 2022. Horizon Europe: New Zealand to begin negotiating full association to the research programme New Zealand and the European Commission announced they will enter formal negotiations on joining Horizon Europe. Along with Canada, New Zealand was the first highly industrialised country to start exploratory talks with the EU on becoming an associated country in Horizon Europe. In Horizon 2020, New Zealand participated as a ‘third

EPN Consulting News: Our CEO has been selected as "experienced mentor" in the Early Warning Europe Mentor Academy Last 26-27 Oct 2022 in Barcelona the EPN Consulting CEO Stefano Mainero took part in a 2-day workshop funded by the European Union where 42 experienced mentors coming from several European countries discussed the best methods to support SMEs in financial distress. It was an excellent
opportunity to learn from peers about different methodologies apply in relation to different cultures and markets conditions. |
