| Will We Know Artificial General Intelligence When We See It?  Buzzwords in the field of artificial intelligence can be technical: perceptron, convolution, transformer. These refer to specific computing
approaches. A recent term sounds more mundane but has revolutionary implications: timeline. Ask someone in AI for their timeline, and they’ll tell you when they expect the arrival of AGI (Artificial General
Intelligence) which is sometimes defined as AI technology that can match the abilities of humans at most tasks.

   | Hello London! Your Waymo ride is arriving (in 2026)  Waymo is said to be excited to support London’s extensive network of bus, tube, bike, and pedestrian infrastructure with their ride-hailing service,
which will be available via the Waymo app. Over the coming months, they will lay the groundwork for the service in collaboration with fleet operations partner Moove, and
continue to engage with local and national leaders to secure the necessary permissions for their commercial ride-hailing service in London.  Looming water scarcity could threaten the UK’s 2050 Net-Zero ambitions  The water needed for the UK’s decarbonisation infrastructure, including hydrogen and carbon capture, is likely to exceed the amount available,
according to new research. The report looked at decarbonisation activities across England’s five largest industrial clusters – Humberside, North West England, Tees Valley, the Solent and the Black Country. It then analysed the impact that these activities would have on water resources in those areas.   |
